• Course Introduction to virtual flight

Since I have always been attracted to the world of aircraft. I guess like anyone with a topic catches your eye. Then I opened the computer and got on google to find information for any activity related to the world of aviation. After a while I browsing I found a website Future Platone the same site where I live in Valencia and offered the completion of an introductory course to the virtual flight a prior had no idea that was the issue but the price for the situation current, very affordable. So I went to the link and started to browse. The description was very clear and immediately pulled all my doubts. It was a course conducted in a flight simulator model Twin Baron 58 and taught by a flight instructor active. The course duration is 4 hours divided into two sessions of theory and practice another simulator.

aircraftBecause of my concerns I decided to take the course of flight to introduce in this world and feel somehow as a pilot. Because the circumstances I could never study the career i aeronautical engineering. And the course through the online store and got a few days later date. I had some suspicion because he had no knowledge on the subject.

The appointed day I showed up at the simulation center Platone Future for the introductory course. Then I was introduced to the instructor and taught me all facilities including simulators physical store. Within minutes his treatment and I felt relaxed and at ease.

The instructor took me to the simulator, which is a blast with two recliners, a panel or cockpit instruments large with two yokes white and a huge screen, and I clarified that the virtual course is tailored to the needs of student, i.e. if you had no knowledge there was no problem and we were starting from scratch. But I remarked that there are students who prefer to focus on some particular aspect as the creation of a flight plan, IFR flight instrumentation, communication tower, etc ..

In my case we start from the beginning, with one hour of theory where we saw some very instructive presentations on the aerodynamic forces acting on an airplane. And then he explained to me that these forces have been developing devices that make the plane move or remain stable in the air.

Then out of curiosity I asked the teacher if it was pilot. And I replied in the affirmative. Commenting that it is entitled commercial flight instructor, PPL, 2500 flight hours, has conducted aerial photography, and is head of school and fleet.

We followed the main reasons we went to see directly into the simulator all the instrumentation that allows the pilot to control the flight. Is disposed in a “T” comprises basic anemometer, the artificial horizon, altimeter and direction finder. Learned very curious things like aircraft speed is always relative to the wind and surprisingly this instrument indicates four different speeds indicated (the principal), calibrated (the aircraft manual), TAS (density) and ground speed (speed over ground). By now he had already hooked.

We also saw some focused on visual navigation (VFR VFR), distances, bearings, the flying letters, routes, signs, letters, etc …

In the practical part we were watching the live instrumentation while we were doing some basic maneuvers. All this from the virtual Manises airport in Valencia, listening and watching audio communications traffic from other aircraft. This introductory course is very comprehensive because after takeoff perform a maneuver taking into account all the necessary parameters for speed and trail access. I carry the pedals to center the aircraft on the runway, the speed so realistic and when I finally got off the ground feeling the adrenaline climb is very realistic.

I learned a basic part of how a flight plan where you have to put all data for the aircraft, fuel, route, number of passengers, airports assignments, etc is done, …

We conducted a visual flight a nearby area, impressive to see the scenery and get relief locate points to guide you. It was also where we implemented many of the concepts we had seen before: the routes, the directional gyro, control altitude, make a straight and level flight, while feeling perfectly the ups and downs of aircraft maneuvers such as turning an angle etc … And we finished making the complicated maneuver runway approach and landing. Best of all is that a pilot taking off will teach how you must complete all the steps correctly. I must admit that I did not go very straight track, but really lived and loved the experience. Thanks to the induction course I learned all this I really like. So I found what I had sought an introduction to the world of aviation.

The sensations were most gratifying, the instructor is very good at explaining and experience whose pilot shows. The simulator Twin Baron 58 is amazing and gets to move you into the cockpit of an airplane. Also flying course has taught me that all this requires training and a study. Piloting an aircraft as is done really, is not easy, takes time, and requires much experience and study. So I’ve already bought a flight simulation software and yoke. I want to settle all learned knowledge to perform the following course home to the most advanced virtual flight Platone Future.
